Dear readers,

In 2017, the 15th year of ZWeR, it remains the priority of the editors to ensure the quality and relevance of the contributions. Only in this way was and is it possible for ZWeR to develop an extensive and continuously growing readership. The way that reactions have developed to ZWeR’s ever expanding range of online publications has also been very pleasing.

This is the continuity for which the ZWeR editors and members of the editorial advisory board stand. With this issue, Prof. Dr. Carsten Becker is moving from the editorial advisory board to the editorial team. He is a director at the Bundeskartellamt and the chairman of the 8th Decision Division, as well as being an honorary professor for competition and regulatory law at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. He is also known as the author of numerous publications in the field of competition and energy law.

Along with Prof. Dr. Becker’s involvement with the editorial team, we are also pleased that a number of distinguished individuals in the field of competition law will be joining as members of the ZWeR editorial advisory board. Specifically, we welcome Prof. Dr. Josef Drexl, LL.M., director of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Munich; Dr. Florian C. Haus, a Rechtsanwalt (lawyer) at Flick Gocke Schaumburg, Bonn und lecturer for the master’s program in competition law at Mainzer Medieninstitut e. V. and Prof. Dr. Roman Inderst, chair of economics and finance at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
